By A Correspondent -Norton MP Richard Tsvangirai has urged residents to attend a parliamentary public hearing on the proposed Whistle Blowers and Witness Protection Bill.

Tsvangirai made the call on Friday in a Facebook post, informing residents that Parliament will hold the public hearing in Norton on Monday.

The proposed legislation seeks to establish measures to protect whistleblowers who expose wrongdoing as well as witnesses who provide information to authorities.

“Parliament will be coming to Norton to hold a public hearing on the Whistle Blowers and Witness Protection Bill,” Tsvangirai said.

He encouraged residents to use the platform to raise their concerns and make suggestions regarding the proposed law.

“This is an opportunity for members of the public to share their views, concerns and suggestions on the proposed law,” he said.
The public hearing will be held at Ngoni Hall at 10:00 AM on Monday.

Tsvangirai urged Norton residents to attend the meeting, stressing that their participation would give them an opportunity to contribute directly to the law-making process.
“Your views matter, and this is your opportunity to contribute to the law-making process,” he said.
