Business Correspondent – Zimbabwe’s construction sector continues to witness the emergence of locally driven firms seeking to modernise infrastructure delivery, with Barmlo Investments positioning itself as one of the growing players in the industry.
Founded by businessman Dr Banabasi Marambire, the company has diversified interests under the Barmlo Investments banner, with construction increasingly becoming one of its key areas of focus. The firm says its operations are aimed at improving efficiency in project delivery while creating opportunities for Zimbabweans both locally and in the diaspora.
Operating through Barmlo Construction, the business has invested in modern machinery and equipment designed to reduce turnaround times on construction projects. According to the company, tasks that traditionally require several hours of manual labour can now be completed in a fraction of the time through mechanised processes.
Company officials say the use of advanced equipment is helping improve precision and productivity in a sector where delays and rising labour costs have often affected project completion timelines.
Industry analysts note that the adoption of technology and mechanisation within Zimbabwe’s construction industry could play a significant role in improving competitiveness and supporting infrastructure development at a time when demand for housing, commercial properties and civil works continues to grow.
Beyond construction, Barmlo Investments has also indicated interest in broader business ventures, reflecting a trend among Zimbabwean entrepreneurs who are diversifying into multiple sectors as they seek to expand economic opportunities.
Speaking on the company’s operational philosophy, representatives of Barmlo Construction said the business remains focused on efficiency, timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.
“Our belief is in efficiency, precision and timely project delivery,” the company said in a statement, adding that client satisfaction remains central to its operations under the slogan, “Your Happiness Is Our Pride.”
