Tinotenda Hove- Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Ezra Ruvai Chadzamira on Wednesday attended a farewell ceremony for the late Ward 10 Councillor for Masvingo West, Junior Charumbira, at Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour.

Charumbira was posthumously conferred with Provincial Liberation War Hero status in recognition of her service and contributions to the party and the province.

She died at Dr Gora Clinic on Monday, 20 October, following a short illness.

Her body will lie in state at her residence in Ward 34, Masvingo West Constituency, ahead of burial scheduled for Thursday.

A Zanu PF Masvingo provincial official described her as a dedicated cadre.

“We have lost a loyal and hardworking cadre who served the party and the people of Masvingo West with distinction. Cde Charumbira was committed to development and always put the community first. Her death is a huge loss to the party,” the official said.
