By A Correspondent – Police have arrested a 28-year-old suspect in connection with the gruesome killing of an inDrive driver whose body was later discovered buried at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed that Shepherd Severa was taken into custody following investigations into the murder of Brian Nandana.
According to ZRP national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi, detectives recovered a blood-stained Toyota Aqua, registration number AGO 2804, at Warren Hills Cemetery during the early hours of 19 May 2026.
“Subsequent police investigations led to the arrest of the suspect, who allegedly confessed to killing his friend, Brian Nandana, by cutting his throat with a kitchen knife before sucking his blood,” said Comm Nyathi.
Police say the suspect later guided investigators to a shallow grave within the cemetery where the victim’s body was exhumed.
“The suspect led the police to a shallow grave at Warren Hills Cemetery, where the victim’s body was retrieved with a deep cut on the neck and a scar on the back of the head,” Nyathi added.
Authorities say investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shocking murder are still ongoing.
