Tinotenda Hove- Freedom Fighters for Change has condemned the fatal shooting of a Zimbabwean worker by a Chinese national at a gold mining company, describing the incident as “a shocking act of injustice” that highlights growing concerns over the treatment of local workers.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the political movement said it was “appalled and outraged by the tragic incident at a gold company where a Zimbabwean citizen lost his life at the hands of a Chinese national.”

“The circumstances surrounding the event raise more questions than answers,” the statement read.

Freedom Fighters for Change questioned the handling of the case and demanded answers about the use of lethal force.

“Who authorizes the use of lethal force, and under what circumstances?” the party asked. “Why was the incident not reported immediately, and instead, the company waited for people to approach the scene in the morning? How can a lifeless body be expected to respond to accusations?”

The movement called for a transparent investigation and justice for the victim’s family, insisting that the case reflects a wider trend of impunity.

“This incident is not isolated; there are numerous cases of injustice going unaddressed,” the statement continued. “We will not stand idly by while our citizens are denied their rights.”

Freedom Fighters for Change said it demands a thorough investigation into the shooting, justice for the deceased’s family, and full accountability for those responsible.

“We will not be silenced. We will not be deterred,” the party declared. “#WeMove #JusticeNow #FreedomFightersForChange.”
