Tinotenda Hove – Outspoken war veteran Blessed Runesu Geza has urged Zimbabweans to unite in mass protests aimed at removing President Emmerson Mnangagwa from power, claiming that the country is suffering under his leadership.

In a fiery address on Saturday afternoon, Geza directly criticized Mnangagwa and his close allies, including Zvigananda, accusing them of enriching themselves while ordinary citizens face hardship.

“Removing Mnangagwa is our duty. We are appealing to citizens to unite on October 17. Let’s converge for a common cause. We can only liberate ourselves from Mnangagwa’s dictatorship; nobody else will do it for us,” Geza said.

He highlighted the stark contrast between government spending and public suffering, noting that while officials are buying vehicles and enjoying privileges, hospitals remain understocked and civil servants continue to struggle. “Chivayo is busy buying vehicles for people yet we don’t have medication in our hospitals. Our civil servants are suffering. This is the time to act,” he added.

Geza’s call comes amid growing economic challenges in Zimbabwe, with citizens facing shortages of essential services and rising living costs, fueling demand for accountability and political reform.

The planned mass protests on October 17 are expected to test the strength of opposition movements and public sentiment against the ruling ZANU PF party.
