Tinotenda Hove – Hon Vengai Chivaura has brought a strong call for action to Mhondoro-Mubaira as part of the 2025 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

With this year’s focus on “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls”, Chivaura urged the community to recognise the rising dangers women and girls face online.

He highlighted how cyberbullying, online stalking, image-based abuse and digital misinformation continue to harm women, stressing the need to build safer, more respectful online spaces.

Chivaura encouraged residents to stand together in protecting women and girls, reminding them that preventing violence—both in the community and on digital platforms—begins with collective responsibility and respect.
