Tinotenda Hove – President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Wednesday presented brand new motor vehicles to artists Greatman, Chipo Muchegwa, Mitchell, and Tindo GP during a ceremony at State House.

The event, which brought together artists living with disabilities and emerging young creatives, was coordinated through Youth Minister Tino Machakaire and DJ Ollah.

Officials framed the handover as part of the government’s broader agenda to promote inclusivity. A statement issued during the ceremony noted: “President Mnangagwa this morning gifted Greatman, Chipo Muchegwa, Mitchell and Tindo GP with vehicles at State House, reinforcing the national vision of leaving no one and no place behind.” The statement further highlighted that the gesture was meant to “celebrate inclusion and empowerment for people living with disabilities, ensuring every citizen has the opportunity to move forward.”

Zanu PF online activist Cleopas Mukungunugwa also commented on the development, writing on Facebook: “Earlier today, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa handed over vehicles and fifty wheelchairs to disability ambassadors at State House. Greatman Music.”

The donations quickly circulated across social media, sparking differing opinions as Zimbabweans continue to debate the government’s approach to supporting artists and people with disabilities.
