Sports Correspondent – The Harare Elite Junior Football Development League (HEJFDL) executive on Saturday held its 2026 preparatory meeting at PE Pavilion, bringing together the League’s executive leadership to plan for the upcoming season.

During the meeting, the Executive Committee mapped the strategic direction for the League in 2026, focusing on strengthening junior football development and ensuring a well-organised and competitive season.

Key administrative and operational issues were discussed as part of efforts to improve the League’s structure and delivery.
The meeting also resolved on important dates, with the Executive agreeing on when the League’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held, as well as confirming the official start date of the 2026 HEJFDL season.

HEJFDL officials said the early planning reflects the League’s commitment to professionalism and long-term youth development, adding that further details regarding the AGM and league kickoff will be communicated to stakeholders in due course.
