Sports Correspondent – Warriors defender Jordan Zemura faces a fresh injury scare after limping off in Watford’s Championship match against Stoke City.

The left-back was named in the starting XI despite carrying a knock picked up last weekend, but could only manage 42 minutes before being forced off as Watford fell to a 2-1 defeat.

Watford started Zemura despite the fitness doubt, a gamble that appears to have backfired.

The club is yet to give an official update on the extent of his injury.

The setback will worry Zimbabwe, with the Warriors set to open their AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign against Sierra Leone on September 24 before hosting DR Congo on September 28.
