Tinotenda Hove – Former Hwange Football Club midfielder Chabuka Mwale has tragically passed away at the age of 56 following a road accident.

The incident occurred along the Bulawayo–Kezi Road, approximately 15 kilometres from Bulawayo’s central business district. Reports indicate that Mwale was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and died instantly at the scene.

His remains were subsequently taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals for a post-mortem examination.

At the time of the accident, Mwale was returning from Kezi where he had visited his in-laws. He was travelling with his wife and children, who survived the crash with minor injuries. They received medical attention and were later discharged.

A relative confirmed the passing, noting that family members from Hwange are en route to Bulawayo. Details regarding burial arrangements are expected to be communicated soon.

Mourners are currently gathered at house number 1929 in Mahatshula, Bulawayo.
