Tinotenda Hove – Presidential Advisor Dr Paul Tungwarara says his co-option into ZANU PF’s Central Committee is a great honour and comes with significant responsibility, vowing to serve the party with diligence and humility.
Tungwarara was co-opted into the ruling party’s highest decision-making body outside Congress by the Manicaland Province, with the decision later endorsed by the Politburo in Harare on Wednesday.
Reacting to the development, which was announced by party spokesperson Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa, Tungwarara expressed gratitude to President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the party leadership for the confidence placed in him.
“This is a responsibility I do not take lightly,” Tungwarara said.
“I pledge to carry this responsibility with diligence, humility, and unwavering commitment,” he added.
He said his new role comes at a critical time as Zimbabwe pushes toward its national development goals under Vision 2030.
“As Zimbabwe advances towards the realization of Vision 2030, it is time for all of us to put our hands on deck, to work collectively, and to ensure that our nation achieves the prosperity and development that our people deserve,” he said.
Tungwarara’s co-option into the Central Committee places him at the heart of the party’s strategic decision-making processes as ZANU PF continues to shape policy direction ahead of its broader national agenda.
