Tinotenda Hove – The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) has been thrown into mourning following the death of its board chairperson, Zvobgo Tawanda Zvobgo, at the age of 37.
Zvobgo is reported to have passed away this morning at a private hospital in Harare.
Information Communication Technology Minister Tatenda Mavetera confirmed the news, paying tribute to him as “a dedicated leader, a brilliant legal mind, and a steadfast champion for the advancement of Zimbabwe’s ICT sector.”
In her statement, Mavetera said, “It is with profound shock and deep sadness that I have learnt of the passing of Advocate Tawanda Zvobgo, Chairman of the Potraz board. His wisdom and counsel were invaluable to our shared mission of digital transformation. My heartfelt condolences go out to his beloved family, friends, the entire Potraz board, management, and staff during this difficult time. We have lost a pillar.”
