Staff Writer- Preparations for tobacco field day to be held on Friday (30January) at Tengwe in Mashonaland West Province are in full course.
Speaking to The Blast, National Chairperson for Allied Tobacco Farmers For Economic Development, Jesina Mangwiro paid gratitude to their partners for the support of tobacco farming in the country.
“Preparations for the field day are going on well…so far so good.
We would like to thanks our partners such as Agritex,Sub Sahara, Gwebi college team, Mr Jimayi Muduvuri, Mr Josaya Dhimbo.
“It is through these important partners which has resulted in the growth of tobacco farming.
“We are looking forward to have more partners to enhance the growth of tobacco farming.This will go a lot in fulfilling the Vision 2030 Agenda and the aspirations of President Mnangagwa.It is our hope that by 2030, the tobacco farming industry will smiles to farmers in Zimbabwe.”
Tobacco Farmers For Economic Development was formed in March 2025 and now has 10 000 members.Its aim is to empower and support tobacco farming in the country in line with President Mnangagwa’s 2030 Vision.
