Tinotenda Hove- Freedom Fighters for Change (FFC) leader Michael Makaza has delivered a powerful message urging Zimbabweans to unite against corruption, injustice, and state repression. In a statement released on Wednesday, Makaza said the nation’s democracy had been “crippled by fear” and called for citizens to reclaim their dignity and freedom.

“Dear Zimbabweans,” he began, “for too long, our nation has been plagued by division, corruption, and violence. We’ve endured abductions, torture, and the silencing of innocent voices. Fear has gripped our hearts, and our democracy has been crippled.”

Makaza said it was time for Zimbabweans to rise above fear and take decisive action to end years of political and economic suffering. “But it’s time to break free! The yoke is heavy, and it’s time to stand our ground. We must show the world that we are not cowards. We rise to defend our rights and demand a better future.”

The FFC leader outlined his movement’s vision for a transformed Zimbabwe, anchored on “equitable land reform for all, economic revival and stability, equal rights for women and men, justice and freedom for every citizen, and opportunities for all to thrive.”

Makaza insisted that his party would continue to speak out despite intimidation and political pressure. “We will not be silenced. We will not be deterred. We will rise up and take back our country,” he declared.

Concluding his message, Makaza issued a rallying call to action: “Join us. Join the fight for change. Demand a better future for yourself and future generations. Rise up, Zimbabwe! Join the movement. #WeMove.”

His statement comes at a time of growing social and economic tension in Zimbabwe, with citizens increasingly calling for reform and accountability from those in power.
