Tinotenda Hove- Mbizo Constituency MP Corban Madzivanyika last week claimed that state security agents raided his home in Kwekwe.

In a statement shared on social media, the opposition legislator said police officers and Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) operatives arrived at his residence looking for a firearm while he was away.

“Police and CIO at my home in Kwekwe. Hanzi tiri kutsvaga pfuti. I had just gone out. They called hanzi tine search warrant tiri kutsvaga pfuti kikiiikkikiki,” Madzivanyika said.

Madzivanyika did not disclose whether any search warrant was shown or whether anything was taken during the alleged raid.

By the time of publishing, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) had not issued an official statement regarding the alleged operation at the MP’s house.
