By A Correspondent — Six people lost their lives in a devastating head-on collision at the 246-kilometre peg along the Harare–Masvingo Road on Thursday morning.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the crash, stating that a Toyota Corolla collided head-on with a truck, resulting in multiple fatalities. “The accident occurred early this morning, and our officers are on the scene,” a ZRP spokesperson said.
“More details will be released in due course.”
Unverified reports indicate that the victims may have all been members of the same family, including a 40-year-old woman and her five children, aged 15, 13, 11, 7, and 3.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision, while expressing condolences to the families affected by the tragedy.
