Tinotenda Hove- Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has announced a US$1 million donation towards the development of Emmanuel Makandiwa’s church, while also revealing plans to gift the preacher and his wife two luxury vehicles.
In a message shared over the weekend as part of his “Sunday Motivation,” Chivayo praised Prophet Makandiwa’s leadership, describing him as a man of integrity whose ministry has remained free from controversy.
“Prophet Makandiwa, from the very first day of your ministry until today, beyond any reasonable doubt you have remained a remarkable example of integrity, humility, and faithfulness. In a world where many leaders are often surrounded by controversy, your name has remained clean,” Chivayo said.
He continued: “There have been no scandals, no accusations of dishonesty, no rumors of taking what belongs to others, and no stories that have tarnished your reputation. Instead, your ministry has continued to grow from strength to strength because of your unwavering commitment to preaching the Gospel and serving God’s people with sincerity.”
Chivayo also said he holds deep respect for religious leaders, adding that he would never oppose those he believes have been called by God.
“With the way I was raised, I fear the Almighty God, and I respect all His servants. I will never ever stand against a prophet, a pastor or any leader whom God has called. For the record I have absolutely nothing against you and it’s all water under the bridge.”
He said a recent sermon by Prophet Makandiwa had deeply moved him, particularly after the preacher publicly acknowledged his charitable work.
“Your sermon last weekend touched my heart. I was humbled beyond words when you mentioned my name and publicly acknowledged me and appreciated the charity work that I continue to do for the people. Those words meant a lot to me.”
Announcing his donation, Chivayo said the contribution was intended to support the church’s construction project.
“You spoke about construction so I will gladly donate US$1 MILLION for the development of this church and for the vision you shared of building God’s house. It is my joy and privilege to stand with that vision.”
He further disclosed that he had purchased a brand-new 2026 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Facelift for Prophet Makandiwa and plans to buy the preacher’s wife a brand-new Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon in a colour of her choice.
“In addition, I am honored to notify you that last week I bought you a brand-new 2026 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Facelift, and I also intend to bless your beloved wife with a brand-new Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, a colour of her choice.”
Chivayo said his support for churches is motivated by his faith rather than by individuals.
“Whenever I donate to churches it’s not about a man but it’s about the work of God.”
Quoting 2 Corinthians 9:7, he concluded: “God loves a cheerful giver. I believe there is no greater investment than investing in the Kingdom of God.
Ngativakei kereke. Ngatitsigirei basa raMwari. May the Lord continue to protect you, strengthen you, and take your ministry to even greater heights.”
