Tinotenda Hove – Taurai Kandishaya, the ZANU PF Youth League Deputy Secretary for Commissariat, on Thursday strongly criticised controversial political figure Andrew Pasinawako, leader of the Anti-Presidential Criticisms Movement, urging him and his followers to undergo ideological training before making public political statements.

In a statement on Thursday, Kandishaya said political activism required discipline, understanding of party values, and practical mobilisation rather than loud rhetoric.

“Mukutaurisa kuzhinji munekurasika kuzhinji. Chidzikamayi imi vakomana moyenda kuChitepo School of Ideology modzidza kutaura zvinodiwa nesu kumusangano,” said Kandishaya.

He stressed that defending the ruling party was not about shouting or seeking attention but about meaningful participation in party structures.

“Defending the party is not by voice volume but through mobilising people into ZANU PF, conducting voter education, and actively participating in party programmes,” he said.
Kandishaya’s remarks were directed at Pasinawako, who has recently attracted attention for his outspoken defence of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his criticism of those questioning government leadership.

In a recent interview, Pasinawako claimed that he enjoys the support of President Mnangagwa and dismissed allegations of corruption within the country’s leadership.
“I have the President’s backing, and I stand by the government.

There is no corruption in the leadership,” Pasinawako said.

He further explained that his political stance is shaped by his religious beliefs, which he said guide his loyalty to authority and influence his views on governance.

Pasinawako also argued that critics of the presidency were misguided and lacked proper understanding of national politics.

Kandishaya’s remarks appear to signal growing concern within the ruling party over individuals who claim to speak on its behalf without following established party structures and ideological grounding
