By A Correspondent – Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Walter Magaya has been placed in remand custody following the emergence of four new rape charges involving four women, with alleged incidents dating between 2016 and 2023.

The new allegations are classified as third-schedule offences, meaning Magaya is not eligible to seek bail at the Magistrates’ Court and must instead apply to the High Court.

Magaya is expected to stand trial on the fresh charges from February 16 to 19 at the Harare Magistrates’ Court, where the matters will be formally heard as the case progresses through the justice system.
