A 20-year-old man, Eric Masuku, was arrested by the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Bulawayo on allegations of stock theft.

Police said Masuku was apprehended at a roadblock along the Bulawayo–Nkayi Road. A search of the vehicle he was travelling in reportedly led to the discovery of cattle carcasses.

According to police, two other suspects who were in the vehicle fled the scene and are still at large. Investigations are ongoing.
