Atlanta- Zimbabwean sprint sensation Makanakaishe Charamba kicked off his outdoor season with a third-place finish in the men’s 100m at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta on Saturday.
The Olympic finalist crossed the line in 10.34 seconds in his first competitive race of the year, signaling a solid early-season return.
Cameron Crump won the event in 10.20 seconds, while Azeem Fahmi of Malaysia took second place in 10.33 seconds.
Charamba, who gained international recognition for his performances on track, is expected to build on the result as the season progresses.
