Tinotenda Hove – Police in Mwenezi are investigating a suspected murder following a violent incident at Hatibudi Village on 20 November 2025.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the confrontation began when 25-year-old Milton Chuma confronted 38-year-old Muchengete Mtombeni over an alleged affair involving the victim’s sister-in-law. During the heated exchange, Mtombeni allegedly struck Chuma twice on the head with a slasher.

Chuma was rushed to Neshuro Hospital but died upon admission.

The ZRP has urged the public to resolve disputes peacefully as investigations continue into the fatal attack.
