By A Correspondent| Police in Beitbridge have arrested a 40-year-old man after he was caught trying to sell bags of mopani worms stolen from a house in New Alpha Suburb.
On 01/07/26, officers apprehended Collin Mupanduki (40) in connection with a robbery that occurred at a residential property where “ZAR 1,600 and five bags of Mopani worms (madora/amancimbi) were stolen,” police said.
According to police, Mupanduki was nabbed “while attempting to find buyers for the stolen Mopani worms.”
During the operation, law enforcement recovered the stolen property along with items believed to have been used in the crime.
“Police recovered the five bags of Mopani worms, as well as an axe, a knife and machetes believed to have been used during the commission of the offence,” police confirmed.
