By Hon Vengai Chivaura- When I heard that the Motsi bus, which plies the Mhondoro–Mubaira route, had been involved in an accident in September, I rushed to the scene to assess injuries and the extent of the damage.
I want to thank all those who swiftly assisted the injured, ensuring they received immediate help from health professionals. I am deeply grateful for your prompt and vital support to those affected.
Most roads in Mhondoro–Mubaira have been neglected for over 45 years, posing great danger to all who use them.
It is unfortunate that most of the gravel used at the Trabablas interchange was taken from Mhondoro, mainly along Skyline Road, yet Skyline Road itself is in a dire state.
The heavy trucks used to transport the gravel caused even more damage, while excavators left behind mountains of unleveled gravel, sand and dangerous water pools. These pose serious risks to both people and animals, especially during the rainy season.
