In 2008, after losing elections to MDC under the leadership of the late Morgan Tsvangirai, ZANU PF ran berserk like a rapid dog killing and maiming members of the opposition while torching their homes.

In the build-up to 27 June presidential run-off, ZANU PF under the late dictator Robert Mugabe and his henchman, Emmerson Mnangagwa, went on a terror campaign targeting members of the opposition countrywide.

Hundreds of opposition members lost their lives while thousands were displaced. Horror images of opposition members who were burnt alive while some had bodies decapitated marked this sad chapter of the country’s history.

The very same butchers of Gukurahundi were the architects of this murderous and bloodletting campaign dubbed “Operation Makavhoterapapi”.

Mnangagwa is not new when it comes to undermining the constitution, rule of law, and the will of the people.

From Gukurahundi to 2008 post election violence, 2017 November coup to CAB3 coup, Mnangagwa has always been at the centre of Zimbabwe’s political crises.

Eighteen years after June 27, victims of 2008 madness are still to find justice. Most of them are still traumatised, homeless, helpless and hopeless.

From Gukurahundi to June 27, all victims of political violence MUST be compensated while perpetrators of those heinous crimes against humanity must have their days in courts.

No to CAB3!
