HARARE — Daughters of Virtue International Ministries (DOV), an interdenominational prayer movement, is rapidly elevating its spiritual and organizational standards under the visionary leadership of Memory Matimbire, a woman now widely celebrated for spearheading a global prayer revival.

Last Friday, the movement hosted its biggest event to date — the Mega 8 All-Night Prayer at Glamis Arena — drawing a staggering crowd of more than 40,000 congregants. The event, filled with powerful worship, healing, and prophetic ministration, marked a significant milestone in DOV’s rise as a spiritual powerhouse in Zimbabwe and beyond.

The all-night event featured renowned international guests from Nigeria, including Apostle Michael Orokpo and Pastor Isaac Odeyepo, who moved the crowd with messages of healing and deliverance. Popular Nigerian gospel stars Ebuka Songs and Minister GUC also graced the stage, ministering through music and worship that kept thousands on their feet in praise.

Memory Matimbire, the founder and visionary leader of Daughters of Virtue and President of Hebron Art of Prayer International Ministries, is married to Pastor Fred Matimbire, and together they have a daughter, Nyasha.

With an accounting background and a diploma in biblical studies, Matimbire has emerged as a pivotal figure in nurturing a prayer culture that transcends denominational lines. Her journey began 21 years ago after a divine encounter that ignited her passion for mountain prayer, leading to a movement that has transformed individuals, families, and communities.

Thirteen years ago, she and her husband founded Hebron Art of Prayer Church, now boasting 15 branches across Zimbabwe and South Africa. In 2017, the couple launched Daughters of Virtue (DOV), initially a women’s prayer movement that later expanded to include men under the Sons of Valor banner.

Her mission — “to raise an altar of prayer in every individual, regardless of race, color, or creed” — has seen the ministry grow exponentially. Weekly gatherings take place every Wednesday in cities across Zimbabwe and other nations, while the movement’s reach was further expanded through WhatsApp audio sessions, which connected believers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, DOV has active branches in 24 countries worldwide, spreading the fire of prayer across continents.

Through her dedication and divine calling, Memory Matimbire continues to build a legacy of faith, revival, and transformation — proving that one woman’s vision from Zimbabwe can indeed inspire a generation of prayer warriors across the globe.
