The recently held Mega 8 All-Night Prayer Gospel Crusade continues to dominate conversations across Zimbabwe and beyond, a week after drawing an estimated 40,000 worshippers to Glamis Arena on October 3.

The monumental event brought together renowned gospel artists, ministers of the Word, and believers from 12 different countries, including guests from as far as Nigeria. Behind this historic gathering stands the dynamic and spirit-filled leader — Prophetess Memory Matimbire.

Prophetess Matimbire, a multiple international award winner, has become a beacon of inspiration through her unwavering commitment to prayer, empowerment, and leadership. Her growing influence was once again recognized at the 2024 Prestigious Annual Predecessors Awards (PAPA) held in Midrand, South Africa, where she was honoured for her exceptional contributions to leadership and prayer under the theme “Succession — Securing Tomorrow Today.”

The award highlighted her impact on over 800,000 followers across 21 nations, underscoring her global reach and spiritual influence.

An encounter with God early in her life ignited a burning passion for mountain prayer, shaping her journey as one of Zimbabwe’s pioneering revivalists. Her devotion has inspired a new generation of leaders to pursue excellence through faith and prayer.

Earlier this year, Prophetess Matimbire was also honoured by Women Worldwide, Dubai 2025, for her outstanding work in empowering women through intercession and mentorship.

In July 2025, she was named Outstanding Woman in Faith-Based Leadership at the Megafest National Women’s Business Awards, a recognition that attests to her unshakable faith, visionary leadership, and tireless service to the body of Christ.

Adding to her accolades, she also received the WAI Legacy Award for her dedicated service in advancing the Kingdom of God.

These honours not only add a plume to her cap but stand as enduring testimonies to her mission of raising an altar of prayer in every heart — transcending boundaries of race, colour, and creed.

Prophetess Memory Matimbire is a Zimbabwean religious leader, author, and businesswoman. She co-founded Hebron Art of Prayer Church with her husband, Pastor Fred Matimbire, and established Daughters of Virtue International Ministries (DOV) — a fast-growing interdenominational prayer movement dedicated to spiritual empowerment and revival.

She also founded Women of Destiny, a ministry focused on holistic women’s development, and leads a vibrant business network that promotes financial and entrepreneurial excellence.

Her book, Unleashing the Billionaire in You, and other works on leadership and personal growth have inspired many to pursue success anchored in faith and purpose.

Holding qualifications in Accounting and Biblical Studies, Prophetess Matimbire’s approach integrates spiritual principles with practical empowerment, enabling believers to thrive both spiritually and economically.

Over the past decade, Hebron Art of Prayer Church has expanded to 15 branches across Zimbabwe and South Africa. In 2017, the church birthed Daughters of Virtue International Ministries, initially a women’s prayer group that later grew to include men through Sons of Valour (SOV).

Through DOV, Prophetess Matimbire has led national prayer gatherings, igniting a movement that continues to inspire hope, unity, and revival across nations.

From Zimbabwe to the world, Prophetess Memory Matimbire remains a shining star — a vessel of faith, leadership, and divine transformation.
