Staff Writer- Daughters of Virtue (DOV) ushered in the New Year with a strong spiritual declaration after its visionary leader, Prophetess Memory Matimbire, revealed the ministry’s 2026 theme during a vibrant Crossover Prayer Night held at Bethel Assembly in Glenview, Harare.
The gathering attracted a large turnout of congregants eager to step into the new year through prayer and worship.
Unveiling the theme, “The Year of Prayer and Answers,” Prophetess Matimbire told congregants that 2026 would be defined by consistent prayer and God’s faithfulness in responding to the cries of His people. She encouraged believers to enter the year with unwavering faith, persistence and confidence in God’s promises.
The theme is anchored in biblical scripture, drawing inspiration from Jeremiah 33:3, which reads: “Call unto me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” It is also supported by Matthew 7:7–11, which says: “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.”
According to Prophetess Matimbire, the message behind the theme is meant to inspire congregants to remain steadfast in prayer, assured that God hears and answers in His perfect timing. She emphasized that 2026 calls for bold prayers, diligent seeking and complete trust in the Almighty.
The theme, officially unveiled at Bethel Assembly in Glenview, will guide the DOV ministry throughout 2026 and serve as a spiritual reference point for believers as they seek God in prayer and faith.
The unveiling of yearly themes has become one of the most anticipated moments at DOV crossover prayer gatherings, often creating excitement and renewed spiritual expectation among congregants as a new year begins.
The Crossover Prayer Night drew a huge crowd, with powerful prayer sessions, worship and preaching stretching into the early hours of the morning. An atmosphere of joy, praise and hope filled the venue as congregants welcomed the New Year.
Many attendees left the prayer meeting spiritually refreshed, encouraged and fully prepared for 2026, describing the crossover service as memorable and uplifting.
The event marked a symbolic transition into what believers were told would be a great and impactful year ahead, defined by prayer and divine answers.
