Tinotenda Hove – Controversial Zanu PF-linked tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivayo has donated a brand-new vehicle and cash to Walter Magaya Junior, the son of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder, Prophet Walter Magaya.

In a statement on Wednesday, Chivayo praised Magaya Junior for following in his father’s spiritual footsteps and demonstrating strong commitment to ministry at a young age.

“MWARI MUMWE CHETE SE ZUVA… Today, I wish to celebrate a young man who has set himself apart in the Word of God. A young man who has chosen to walk in the footsteps of his father, and who is evidently anointed in the prophetic,” Chivayo said.

He commended the young preacher for remaining disciplined in a time when many youths are distracted by social ills.

“In a time where most youth have given themselves to the distractions of this world and indulging in drug and substance abuse, it is refreshing to see a son who has chosen to remain disciplined and spread the Word of God to all nations. Just like the biblical Elisha, who picked up the mantle of his father Elijah, today I wish to recognize Walter Magaya Junior,” he added.

Chivayo said he was particularly impressed by Magaya Junior’s performance during the 2025 crossover service, where he stood in for his father.

“I was very impressed by how you carried yourself during the crossover night from 31 December 2025 into the new year, standing in for your father Prophet Walter Magaya.

Your calm confidence and the clarity in your message of renewed hope in Christ was packed with meaning and deep revelation. You may be young in age, but certainly very matured in the spirit,” he said.

He also highlighted the young preacher’s growing international influence.
“Your impact has also gone beyond Zimbabwe, with believers in different countries that you have travelled to receiving you in their thousands. From the way people gather and follow your teachings, it is evident that what started with your father is finding its way through you. That kind of continuity is not common, and it speaks volumes about the foundation and mentorship imparted by Prophet Magaya unto you at PHD Ministries,” Chivayo said.

As part of the gesture, Chivayo announced that Magaya Junior would receive a luxury vehicle and financial support.

“I say a big congratulations to you, our young man of God. Please go and see Victor on Friday at Exquisite Car Dealership and collect your brand new 2026 Lexus GX550, fully paid for and ready for collection. In addition, you will receive US$50,000 as a small but sincere token to support the church’s work and the continued growth of PHD Ministries,” he said.
Chivayo concluded by offering prayers for Magaya Junior’s future.

“May God continue to bless you and increase your territory. I pray that what is upon your father be even greater upon your life as you continue to impact both the young and the old with prophetic, healing and deliverance.”
