Tinotenda Hove – The body of National Hero and esteemed cleric Archbishop Paul Mwazha has been transported from his Hatfield residence to Charles Gumbo Barracks in Harare, marking the beginning of the final journey to his resting place in Manicaland.
Officials confirmed that the remains were taken to the military facility earlier today, where preparations are underway for airlifting to Chirasauta. The revered religious leader, who inspired generations through the African Apostolic Church, will be laid to rest this Sunday in his home province.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at the Hatfield home to bid farewell, reflecting the immense respect Archbishop Mwazha commanded across the country. His burial in Manicaland on Sunday is expected to draw thousands, including senior government officials, church leaders, and members of the public who followed his decades-long spiritual work.
Archbishop Mwazha was declared a National Hero in recognition of his contributions to faith, unity, and community development. His final journey now continues to Chirasauta, where Zimbabwe will bid him a solemn and dignified goodbye.
