Tinotenda Hove – The Zimbabwe National Army on Thursday held a funeral parade for Major General (Retired) Richard Ruwodo at Charles Gumbo Barracks in Harare, as senior officers and family gathered to pay their last respects.

Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, General Emmanuel Matatu, presided over the parade. He was joined by senior military officials, relatives, friends and colleagues of the late officer.

Major General Ruwodo died on Tuesday at a hospital in Harare.

He leaves behind his wife, Lois, and three children.

Mourners are currently gathered at House Number 92 Folyjon Crescent in Glen Lorne, Harare. Burial arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
