Tinotenda Hove – PHD Ministries leader Walter Magaya was arrested on Monday by officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the parking area of the Harare Magistrate Court.

Details surrounding the arrest are still unclear, but authorities said the reasons will be revealed shortly.

Magaya was taken into custody as he was leaving the court premises after both of his cases were postponed.

His rape trial has been deferred to tomorrow, when a ruling will determine whether the matter will proceed or face another postponement. Meanwhile, his fraud case has been set for March 27, pending indictment by the High Court.

The arrest comes amid ongoing legal battles for the controversial church leader, who has been at the centre of multiple high-profile court appearances.
