Sports Correspondent|Zimbabwean football is in mourning after a fatal road accident claimed the lives of three senior Highlanders officials on Thursday night.

Club chairman Kenneth Mhlophe, vice chairman Sifiso Siziba, and treasurer Nkani Khoza were killed when the Ford Raptor they were travelling in collided with a bus about 60km outside Bulawayo.

Reports indicate the vehicle struck a cow, lost control, and veered into the path of an oncoming bus. The impact left the three officials and an unidentified woman trapped in the wreckage. All four died at the scene.

The Bosso leadership was returning from Kariba, where Highlanders suffered a 1-0 defeat to ZPC Kariba in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixture on Wednesday.

Tributes have started pouring in for the trio, who were key figures in the club’s administration.
