Tinotenda Hove – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident that claimed three lives and left 18 others injured along the Harare-Mutare Road.

According to police, the tragic incident occurred on 23 October 2025, at the 135-kilometre peg. A Nissan Caravan kombi travelling towards Mutare with 19 passengers on board collided head-on with a Toyota Mark II that had no passengers.

“The bodies of the victims were conveyed to Rusape General Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem, while the injured were admitted at the same hospital,” said the ZRP.

Police have urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads and adhere to all traffic regulations to prevent further loss of life.
