Tinotenda Hove- Police in Marondera have launched investigations following a daring robbery at a local company in the early hours of November 4, 2025, during which four armed suspects made off with US$240,000 in cash.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the incident occurred at around 12:20 a.m. when four unidentified men, armed with a grinder and a claw bar, attacked a security guard who was on duty at the premises.

After overpowering the guard, the suspects ransacked several offices before breaking into the company’s strong room, where they reportedly stole the large sum of cash.

ZRP has since appealed to the public for information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits. “Anyone with information that may assist investigations should report at the nearest police station,” police said in a statement.

Authorities have urged businesses to strengthen security systems and ensure that large amounts of cash are not stored on-site overnight as investigations into the robbery continue.
