By A Correspondent – Police in Mpumalanga have made a grim discovery in the search for a missing 59-year-old businessman from Komatipoort.

The man had been reported missing earlier in the week after his vehicle was swept away while attempting to cross the Komati River during heavy water flow.

As search efforts continued, authorities tracked and shot a large crocodile in the river. Upon examination, human remains were recovered from inside the animal, believed to be linked to the missing businessman.

Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity as formal identification processes are still underway and next of kin are being notified.
