Guyu- Police in Guyu have arrested a 34-year-old man for cultivating dagga after discovering over 100 plants cleverly disguised within a maize field.
Nuni Ngulibe was apprehended on 12 March 2026 following a police operation based on a tip-off from the public.
According to police reports, detectives raided a farm at Village 6 in Kafusi, Guyu, where they discovered 102 dagga plants intercropped within a maize field. The plants, which had an approximate height range of 1 to 2 metres, were uprooted by the detectives.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
Authorities have commended the public for the information that led to the arrest and seizure. Police have reiterated their commitment to eradicating drug abuse and trafficking in the country under the hashtag #NoToDangerousDrugs.
