Kadoma Quartet Nabbed Over Robbery

Kadoma – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has arrested four men in connection with a violent robbery that occurred along the Glasgow-Alabama Road in Kadoma earlier this week. Two other suspects remain at large.

The arrests follow an incident on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in which a victim was reportedly ambushed in a bushy area, stabbed in the shoulder with a knife, and robbed of US$260 in cash.

In a statement, the ZRP identified those in custody as Tatenda Mudziyahohwa (24), Thomas Mazike (24), Wellington Kariyatsande (19), and Tawanda Kariyatsande (24). They were apprehended on Friday, January 23, at Just Right, Eiffel Flats, Kadoma, after police acted on received intelligence linking them to the crime.

“The arrest led to the recovery of USD 120.00,” the police statement confirmed. A portion of the stolen money is therefore still outstanding.

Authorities are now searching for two other individuals alleged to have been involved in the attack: Tinashe Kariyatsande and Munyaradzi Bimha. The ZRP has urged anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward.

The case underscores ongoing police efforts to combat street crime and armed robbery. The victim’s current medical condition was not disclosed in the police report.
