Tinotenda Hove – ZANU PF has emerged victorious in the Nkulumane parliamentary by-election, with its candidate Freedom Murechu clinching the seat after a decisive win on Saturday.

Murechu secured 3 416 votes, defeating eight other contestants who were vying to represent the constituency in Parliament.
Following the announcement of the results, Information and Communication Technology Minister Tatenda Mavetera hailed the outcome, describing it as a collective victory for both the party and the electorate.

“Congratulations to Honorable Freedom Murechu and the strong ZANU PF team on our win in the Nkulumane Constituency by-election,” Mavetera said.

She also expressed gratitude to local voters for their backing of the ruling party.
“A big thank you to the people of Nkulumane for your solid support. You made this victory possible,” she said.

The by-election was held to fill the vacant parliamentary seat, with ZANU PF’s win further strengthening the party’s position in the constituency.
