Tinotenda Hove- Stacy Macheso, daughter of Sungura music legend Aleck “Cheso Power” Macheso, has apologised to fans after giving her father a hairstyle that sparked widespread online reactions.

Macheso’s unexpected braided look, which he appeared with in public over the weekend, drew mixed reactions, with many fans saying the style did not match the veteran musician’s signature image. Social media platforms quickly filled with comments, prompting Stacy to clarify what had actually happened.

Posting on Facebook on Sunday, Stacy openly took responsibility for the makeover.

“Very sorry guys, all fans, I am really sorry. I am the one who plaited dad’s hair,” she wrote. “What happened is I plaited his hair and he went to sleep early, then the following day he dashed to work.”

She explained that she had not managed to undo the braids before he left home.

“I could not find time to undo the plaiting. I have heard you and I will undo the plaiting,” Stacy said, laughing.

Her explanation follows a flurry of online discussions, with fans expressing both surprise and amusement at the music icon’s temporary new look.
