Sports Correspondent – Dynamos FC have breathed a huge sigh of relief after securing their Premier Soccer League status on the final day of the 2025 season, capping off a turbulent campaign that kept supporters on edge. Their long-time rivals, Highlanders, also managed to stay afloat after both giants finished the season locked on 39 points.

The PSL’s concluding table confirmed that GreenFuel FC, Bikita Minerals FC, Yadah FC and Kwekwe United FC have all been relegated. GreenFuel and Bikita Minerals fell just short with 37 points apiece, Yadah ended on 35, while Kwekwe United endured a nightmare season, collecting only 10 points and registering a single win.

Dynamos closed the season in 13th place, surviving by a narrow margin after struggling for consistency, while Highlanders escaped relegation courtesy of a superior goal difference.

Meanwhile, the spotlight at the top belonged to newly crowned champions Scottland FC, who clinched the title with 69 points after recording 20 victories, nine draws and five losses.

Malawian goalkeeper William Thole emerged as one of the season’s standout performers, claiming the Golden Glove award after keeping 17 clean sheets in 31 matches in his debut PSL season.

Focus now shifts to the Chibuku Super Cup final scheduled for November 29, before the nation rallies behind the Warriors ahead of their AFCON campaign.
