Tinotenda Hove – The Parliament of Zimbabwe announced on Wednesday that the Government has acquired the Monomotapa Hotel to provide accommodation for Members of Parliament.
Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Professor Mthuli Ncube, said the move was part of a broader effort to improve the welfare of legislators and promote institutional efficiency.
“The Government has acquired the Monomotapa Hotel to provide accommodation for Members of Parliament,” said Prof. Ncube. “This strategic move is aimed at ensuring the comfort and convenience of legislators during parliamentary sessions and national events, while also reducing accommodation costs previously incurred through private bookings.”
He added that the acquisition “reflects Government’s commitment to improving the welfare of Parliamentarians and enhancing institutional efficiency in the execution of legislative duties.”
