Commissioner General Commissions Mkushi Academy as 797 Recruits Pass Out

Mkushi– Commissioner-General of Police Stephen Mutamba has officiated at a passing out parade for 797 police recruits at Mkushi Academy, formerly known as Morris Depot, on March 26, 2026.

The ceremony saw 70 of the total graduands being male while 30 percent were female, translating to 555 male and 242 female officers formally inducted into the national police service.

The event was attended by senior government officials, including cabinet ministers, retired senior police officers, representatives from the corporate sector, and families of the graduating officers.

During the same event, Commissioner-General Mutamba officially commissioned a newly constructed police physical functional training centre at the academy, aimed at enhancing the physical preparedness of officers.
