Tinotenda Hove- Citizens leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa has continued his engagement tour of the United Kingdom, meeting Zimbabweans in Manchester where he said the growing support from the diaspora reflects an increasing desire for political and economic change back home.

Addressing a packed gathering, Chamisa described the meeting as an encouraging exchange of ideas centred on Zimbabwe’s future.

“Last night, I had the privilege of engaging with fellow Zimbabweans in Manchester in a powerful and inspiring conversation about the future of our nation. The passion, patriotism, and determination in the room were unmistakable,” he said.

Chamisa told supporters that Zimbabweans from different backgrounds remain united by the belief that the country can achieve a better future.

“#WeTheCitizens are united by a shared belief that Zimbabwe can, and must, do better. From every corner, the message is clear: the desire for renewal is growing stronger, and the commitment to building a prosperous, democratic, and inclusive Zimbabwe is unwavering,” he said.

The former opposition leader said the enthusiasm shown by Zimbabweans living in the United Kingdom demonstrated continued backing for his movement and its vision.

“We are solid everywhere. Zimbabwean citizens here are warm, engaged, and firmly behind #TheNew and the next steps in our collective journey towards a new and great Zimbabwe,” Chamisa said.

He urged supporters to remain committed to the campaign for national transformation, adding that sustained organisation and hope would be key to achieving their aspirations.
“Together, we will continue to organise, inspire hope, and work tirelessly until our shared vision becomes a reality,” he said.

As his UK engagements continue, Chamisa also expressed gratitude to Zimbabweans who attended the meetings and those supporting his campaign from across Britain.

“Thank you, UK, for your incredible warmth, love, and hospitality. Your support, encouragement, and unwavering commitment to a New Great Zimbabwe is truly inspiring. A Citizens Government in our lifetime! Together #WeTheCitizens can never be defeated,” he said.
