Tinotenda Hove — Suspected serial killer Anymore Zvitsva appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court this morning under heavy security, where his case was formally transferred to the High Court for trial.
Zvitsva, who was shot during his arrest in Guruve, was carried into the courtroom by a fellow inmate. He is facing eight counts of murder involving 19 victims, along with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of rape.
Magistrates Court proceedings were limited to procedural matters, with the court confirming that the case will now be handled by the High Court, which has jurisdiction over such serious offences.
The development marks a critical stage in the prosecution, as the High Court will now take over the trial process. Further updates are expected as the matter progresses through the superior court.
