Tinotenda Hove – A retired senior Zimbabwe National Army officer, Brigadier General (Rtd) Samuel Mpabanga, has died at the age of 69.

His death was confirmed on Wednesday in an official statement issued by the Commander of the Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant General Asher Walter Tapfumaneyi.

Lieutenant General Tapfumaneyi said Brigadier General (Rtd) Mpabanga passed away on Monday at Gwanda General Hospital after a long illness.

Family members, friends and former colleagues are gathered to mourn at House Number 4, McGee Road, Sauerstown, Bulawayo.
