Nyanga — Police in Nyanga have arrested Maxwell Tangwena (45) in connection with a robbery at Nyamhanda Business Centre in Nyamaropa on Friday, 9 October 2026, in which groceries and US$5 cash were stolen.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said Tangwena allegedly entered a shop armed with a pellet gun, pointed it at the complainant and fired a shot into the air to instil fear before stealing the groceries and the US$5.

The complainant managed to escape and alerted ZRP Nyamaropa, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
