Tinotenda Hove – ZANU PF Secretary for Information and Publicity Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa has dismissed criticism circulating on social media, insisting that the ruling party places more value on internal processes than online commentary.

Speaking during a press conference held at ZANU PF headquarters in Harare on Wednesday, Mutsvangwa said the party had prevailed over its critics despite what he described as loud voices on social media platforms.

“We believe in what goes on within the party rather than what is said elsewhere,” Mutsvangwa told journalists. He claimed that individuals he identified as Geza, Hopewell and Nyokayemabhunu had attempted to challenge the party’s narrative but ultimately failed. “We had competition against Geza, Hopewell and Nyokayemabhunu who thought they had a voice but we came back on top,” he said.

Mutsvangwa went on to praise President Emmerson Mnangagwa, arguing that no one within the party possesses a deeper understanding of the liberation struggle. “No one has the institutional memory of the revolution than President Mnangagwa,” he said, adding that the President’s credibility was rooted in his long history of sacrifice. “He spent years in the prison,” Mutsvangwa said.

The press conference underscored ZANU PF’s continued effort to counter online criticism while reinforcing loyalty to President Mnangagwa and the party’s liberation legacy.
