Tinotenda Hove- President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to officially open the 2026 National Disability Expo at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo on Friday, as the country prepares for one of its largest disability inclusion events.
The three-day exhibition is scheduled to begin on Wednesday and is anticipated to draw significant participation from across the country. Organisers say the event will bring together stakeholders focused on disability rights, inclusion, and empowerment.
Speaking during a preparatory meeting held yesterday, Director for Coordination of Government Programmes in the Office of Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Rosemary Chingwe, said preparations were progressing well ahead of the expo.
Chingwe revealed that approximately 80,000 people are expected to attend the event, while nearly 500 exhibitors will showcase products, services, and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people living with disabilities.
The expo is expected to provide a platform for engagement between government, private sector players, development partners, and disability advocacy groups, with discussions likely to focus on accessibility, empowerment, and inclusive development.
